Federal Minister Hanke and TSA CEO Tencl inaugurate construction project – 100 new jobs planned as part of “TSA City” by 2030, featuring modern manufacturing technology and a boost to regional value creation in Lower Austria.
Wiener Neudorf, November 05, 2025 – Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA), the global market leader in electric drive systems for rolling stock and commercial road vehicles, is reinforcing its strong commitment to Austria as a business location. With an investment volume of around 9.5 MEUR, the company has launched construction of a new punching center (“Plant 3a”) at its Wiener Neudorf headquarters – a key milestone in TSA’s long-term vision for the “TSA City.”
The opening ceremony on November 04, attended by Federal Minister for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure Peter Hanke and TSA CEO Robert Tencl, marks the start of a forward-looking project that will create new jobs, enhance regional value creation, and secure TSA’s industrial competitiveness on both national and international levels.
Among the guests were leading figures from politics and business, regional representatives, partner companies, and media representatives. “This opening ceremony is more than a construction event – it’s a clear commitment to the future of our site,” emphasized Robert Tencl. “With the new punching center, we are making a targeted investment in technology, sustainability, and in the people who make our success possible.”
Federal Minister Hanke also highlighted the importance of the initiative: “When a global market leader like TSA invests in Wiener Neudorf, it strengthens not only the economic position of Lower Austria but also safeguards valuable jobs and demonstrates that technological innovation in Austria has a strong future.”
“Investments of this nature send a powerful message about Lower Austria as a prime business location. TSA exemplifies how innovation, technological excellence, and a commitment to the region can convert into export opportunities. The punching center: A future-focused project with regional impact
The new facility will be developed as a modern punching and sheet metal processing center within the expanding “TSA City” campus – a cornerstone of TSA’s long-term development strategy.
By consolidating all punching and forming processes under one roof, TSA will achieve significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and manufacturing intelligence. The modular design of the new center allows for future expansion and lays the foundation for scalable, energy-efficient production – Made in Austria.
