TRAM DUO motors for tramways in Gdańsk (PL)
ZKM Gdańsk, the Gdańsk public transport services, are going to expand their tram fleet by adding five new vehicles to accommodate
growing ridership and services. The new developed model JAZZ DUO, a 100% low floor tram by PESA Bydgoszcz SA, was selected
for this project. The innovative JAZZ DUO bogie concept, which will also be used for the Tram Warsaw project, has all wheels
driven individually by external and lengthwise positioned traction motors.
PESA submitted a purchase order for the manufacture of 40 newly developed type TMR 35-18-4 TRAM DUO motors by TSA for Gdańsk.
PESA Bydgoszcz is planning to deliver the first vehicle to ZKM Gdańsk in December 2014.
