New tram fleet in Lund to be equipped with TSA Motors

The Swedish city of Lund in the province Skåne län decided to build a new tram line for a more modern urban mobility and infrastructure. Lund will become Sweden‘s fourth city to invest in a tram line after Stockholm, Gothenburg and Norrköping.
The line with seven trams that will traverse the route between Lund Central Station in the historical city center and the Science Village of ESS in the new Brunnshög district, will be operated by Swedish regional operator Skånetrafiken.
The bidirectional trams with a length of approximately 33 meters will have a high focus on accessibility for passengers with restricted mobility and more space for wheelchairs and buggies.

The modern low-floor Urbos vehicles will be equipped with traction motors by Traktionssysteme Austria. The new line is due to open in summer 2020.
