Independent meta-study recognizes TSA among Austria’s Top Employers
Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA), the global leader in the development and production of electromechanical drive systems for rolling stock and commercial road vehicles, has been named a Leading Employer Austria 2026. The award officially places the company among the top 1% of employers in Austria.
The award ceremony took place on June 11, 2026, at Cineplexx Wienerberg in Vienna and was attended by numerous nominated companies, including HYPO NOE Landesbank für Niederösterreich und Wien, Julius Meinl Austria GmbH, NOVOMATIC, and Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR) GmbH. The award recognizes organizations that achieve outstanding results across a broad range of employer-related criteria and demonstrate a sustainable, employee-focused corporate culture.
“Our employees are at the heart of everything we do,” said Cornelia Buchschachner, Head of Human Resources at TSA. “Being recognized as a Leading Employer reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where people can grow, contribute, and build long-term careers. We are proud to receive this recognition.”
A place among the top 1% – more than just an employer ranking
Unlike many employer awards that are based on individual surveys or employee reviews, the Leading Employers methodology takes a significantly broader approach. The annual meta-study analyzes millions of data points from hundreds of independent sources and combines them into a comprehensive assessment of employer quality. Its objective is to provide the most complete picture possible of a company as an employer.
The methodology incorporates scientific studies, competitions and rankings, industry analyses, media reports, and feedback from experts and auditors. Companies are evaluated through a multi-stage process and benchmarked against numerous quality criteria. The assessment covers not only employee satisfaction but also leadership culture, health management, employee benefits, sustainability, employer reputation, talent communication, and HR excellence.
A key differentiator from traditional employer rankings is the study’s scientific approach. All sources are continuously evaluated for quality, reliability, relevance, and validity. In addition, the data undergoes multiple plausibility checks, AI-supported data cleansing, and manual verification procedures before the final assessment is completed. As a result, Leading Employers is now considered one of the most comprehensive employer studies worldwide. According to the study organizers, up to 500 independent sources and several hundred evaluation criteria are taken into account for each participating company.
People drive technological excellence
For TSA, the award is a strong endorsement of its long-term HR strategy. The company employs more than 450 people at its headquarters in Wiener Neudorf and continuously invests in training, employee development, health and well-being initiatives, and modern working conditions.
“Technological excellence starts with talented and dedicated people,” Buchschachner added. “This award confirms that we are on the right path – not only as a technology leader, but also as an employer. Most importantly, it recognizes the dedication and expertise of our employees, who drive TSA’s success every day.”
The international competition for qualified professionals continues to intensify. Technology-driven industrial companies, in particular, face growing challenges in attracting and retaining highly skilled talent. For TSA, fostering a culture of appreciation and respect is therefore a key element of its corporate strategy.
The Leading Employer award adds to a growing list of prestigious employer and corporate distinctions and further strengthens TSA’s position as an attractive employer in the global technology market. At the same time, the company views the recognition as motivation to continue raising its standards and to provide a working environment where both people and innovation can thrive.
