With four exhibits on display, the Austria-based company presents some of its most innovative solutions and newest developments – technologies with the potential to define tomorrow’s electromobility.

Busworld highlights:

The Heavy Duty (HD.T3) motor is TSA’s answer to the core challenges of electric bus operation: high power density, low energy consumption, and easy integration. Delivering peak power of 420 kW and a maximum torque of 4,000 Nm, this power package easily handles demanding topographies and tight timetables. With efficiency above 97 %, the HD.T3 sets a new benchmark in its class.A new modular drive architecture eliminates the traditional motor tower, freeing up passenger space and allowing for streamlined battery integration on the roof. In the coming years, HD.T3 motors will be installed in buses with 10.5 m, 12 m, 15 m and 18 m in length – a strong signal of this product’s versatility and cross-platform compatibility.

Electrifying light commercial vehicles means making the most of limited installation space. This is where the Light Duty (LD) motor comes in. Designed for conversions and new builds in the 3.5 to 9-ton class, the LD delivers a peak torque of 1,200 Nm and peak power of 220 kW. To simplify integration and speed up projects, TSA offers the LD system with an inverter included upon request – while maintaining compatibility with other power electronics.The LD platform is already proving its value in municipal and government fleets in Switzerland. Compact and weighing only 125 kg, the LD motor is equally suited for retrofit concepts and new vehicle designs with tight installation spaces.

More than motors: complete drive packages from a single source

TSA is more than just a motor supplier – it is a system partner. By combining its motors with world-class inverters from leading partners, TSA can deliver tailored drive packages for almost any vehicle. The company pursues a multi-brand strategy, ensuring customers receive solutions matched precisely to their needs.

At Busworld, TSA and its partners will present inverter solutions optimized for the HD.T3 and LD platforms:

Medcom FT-250-600-SiC-LQC: This SiC MOSFET inverter, designed for the HD.T3, will be on display at the TSA booth. With liquid cooling, IP67 protection, and a lightweight design of just 31 kg, it offers flexible installation options. Combined with the HD.T3, it forms one of the most efficient drive packages available – already proven in buses in daily operation.

Medha Power MPT1144: Specially matched to the LD platform, this inverter weighs only 19 kg and, with its compact dimensions (385 x 310 x 175 mm), can be placed almost anywhere in the vehicle. LD drive packages are already in use across the DACH region today.

TSA’s electric motors are integrated into several vehicles and components that will be exhibited at Busworld 2025. Highlights include:

Solaris world premiere: The new Urbino 10.5 Electric platform will debut at Busworld, powered by TSA’s HD.T3 motor. This compact city bus showcases modular drive technology and space-saving integration of high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motors. Solaris will also present 12- and 18-meter models of its Urbino Electric series, equipped with TSA’s HD.T3 motors, delivering both emission-free and space-efficient operation thanks to the motor tower-free design.

At its booth, Enika will display drivetrains with TSA motors designed specifically for bus applications, providing high torque and the reliability needed for demanding operations. A long-standing TSA partner, Bozankaya will present its 18-meter Timişoara trolleybus, powered by TSA’s TMF 35-44-4 motor.
