TSA’s latest products and technology at InnoTrans 2022

Traktionssysteme Austria (TSA) will again be on-spot in Berlin, presenting a selected range of its products. From September 20-23, visitors from all over the world will have the opportunity to see 3 traction motors for…

• DEMUs of Transport for New South Wales’ TrainLink regional train project in Australia,
• RENFE’s latest series S106/122 very-high-speed trains with speeds up to 330 km/h
• and for the new Type J/JK metro train fleet of BVG, Berlin.

It is a special honor to be able to display the new electric motor generation for the new Metro Berlin directly in Germany’s capital. The contract with the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) includes up to 1,500 metro cars. 4,500 motors will be manufactured and delivered for this project within the next 10 years. An additional agreement was concluded for spare parts for the following 32 years. Since the beginning of 2022, TSA has been delivering 12 motors every week to Berlin. With this order, TSA has won one of the largest supply contracts ever awarded in Europe.

This remarkable success was celebrated with an outstanding video, including our employees who show how much love and dedication we put in for realizing such a great project. For this video, TSA was awarded the Humorus Award by a jury of experts at the Austrian HumorEXPO in April 2022.

TSA will also be exhibiting its traction drive for the latest generation Type X fleet of metro trains for Wiener Linien in Vienna. We are very proud to present the electric drives powering one of the most modern metro fleets worldwide.

At the InnoTrans Outdoor Display, visitors can even check out the vehicle Metro X-Wagen on booth 7/50 of Siemens Mobility. Another 13 vehicles presented at the Outdoor Display are powered by TSA products.

To complement the growing Bus Display, at Innotrans 2022 for the very first time, TSA will be showing an electric motor designed from scratch for electric buses and commercial vehicles – the TSA ROAD ‘High Torque Central Motor’. TSA’s innovative drives for urban electric buses have already been used successfully in local public transport. Particularly in this respect, TSA is making a valuable contribution to the decarbonized mobility of tomorrow with its powerful and efficient electric motors.
