Grand Finale of Apprenticeship Project on E‑Mobility
As part of this year´s Apprenticeship Project on E‑Mobility, the four winners (Dominic Prinz, Raphael Friedrich, Filip Babić and Philipp Köstler) were awarded a trip to Beijing in order to visit one of the largest automotive exhibitions in the world.
The apprentices, together with Danijel Cvijanović (Head of Manufacturing), Florian Demmelmayr (Manager Engineering/ Commercial Vehicles) and Manuel Langmann (Apprentice Trainer), gained an overview of the Auto China 2018 exhibition area including 8 halls and a capacity of 200.000 square meters.
The exhibited products ranged from various vehicle components to automobiles by Chinese manufacturers. Besides new technology trends, the convention also provided a good insight into the current hype about e‑mobility and emphasized China´s supremacy in the development and production of electric cars. The event provided the perfect opportunity for our apprentices to expand their knowledge of drivetrain technologies. Apart from the exhibition, the group visited the Forbidden City, the imperial palace complex in central Beijing with approx. 9,000 halls, pavilions and rooms, as well as the famous Great Wall of China which measures a length of more than 21,000 km.
