Metro Helsinki accelerates by TSA motors

Helsinki’s internationally renowned metro operator HKL placed an order at CAF Spain for 20 new metro trains. The propulsion systems have to meet stringent technical requirements as demanded by the operator.
After intensive technical discussions and consultations between CAF and TSA Engineering specialists, those requirements can be met optimally by an enclosed self-ventilated TSA traction motor. CAF submitted a purchase order for the manufacture of 240 metro motors by Traktionssysteme for the capital and largest city of Finland. The motors will be delivered as of April 2014.
