New Tramlink V4 trams in Santos, Brazil

As one of the partners of the Tremvia Santos Consortium, Vossloh España will supply 16 new Tramlink V4 low-floor trams to the Baixada Santista transport services of the city of Santos, Brazil. The vehicles will be equipped with 128 water-cooled motors by Traktionssysteme Austria from Wiener Neudorf.

The first 3 vehicles will be manufactured in Valencia, the remaning 13 vehicles in the T’Trans factory in the city of Três Rios, State of Rio de Janeiro. Tramlink trams can consist of up to 7 body sections and are already running in several cities in Spain and Germany. Consortium Tremvia Santos announced that the units will enter service in 2014 and 2015.
